The Study Center Trips for 2010-2011:

Biblical Resources Study Trips are a “Cut Above” most tours.

Roman ruinsThe debris of the Roman temple may remind you of the joke about the tourist who asked, “Why did the Romans build so many ruins?” Most archaeological sites are confusing and need an experienced teacher/guide to help interpret them.

Photographs of ancient sites on a tour can only give you an image of the place. But the words of the teacher/guide on a study tour have the potential of giving you a more meaningful impression of the biblical significance of the place in our understanding of history. Our teachers and staff at Biblical Resources, LLC are dedicated to offering you quality travel experiences designed particularly to help bring life and meaning from the ancient ruins.

Please study the descriptions of the unique Christian travel opportunities for you to discover the origins of your faith.

Mediterranean and Aegean Coasts Yacht Cruise
October 16-29, 2010

Mediterranean and Aegean CruiseFollowing the Book of Acts

What you will See:

Our trip begins in Istanbul and then we fly south to the Mediterranean Sea. Most frequently we will be overnighting in remote, forested coves next to picturesque archaeological sites of significant Lycean, Greek, Roman and Byzantine ruins.

What you will Do:

Our theme will be following Saint Paul through the book of Acts. We will also study principles of guidance in the early church. Our trip includes both the rugged Mediterranean and Aegean coasts of Turkey. There will also be many optional easy-moderate hikes from one to two hours long offered daily (see above photo), as well as three charming ports for shopping.

What Life on Board will be Like:

We will have three or four 12-passenger boats known as Turkish gullets sailing in tandem from port to port. Our nights will be anchored along side one another. We will have a bus which will follow our itinerary along shore to enable us to reach inland archaeological locations. Mini-lectures will be with Dr. Fleming to the entire group on the bus or while seated among the ruins of an important archaeological discovery.

Accommodations will be in double cabins, each with private bath. Food is fresh (re-stocked at three ports along the way) with hot breakfasts, lunches and dinners, including international cuisine and many local recipes. Temperatures range from upper 60’s to the low 80’s.
