The island of Sicily hosts some of the best preserved Greek temples in the world, such as the Concord Temple in the Valley of the Temples in Aggrigento. While in Sicily we will also visit archaeological ruins at the cities of Syracuse and Taormina along St. Paul's journey up the coast of Italy and eventually Rome.

Highlights of Malta, Sicily and Rome Trip:
We will follow the journey of St. Paul to Rome via the amazing Roman Theaters at Syracuse and Taormina, and a drive up (as far as safe) the active volcano of Mount Etna.
Crossing to the boot of Italy, we will visit museums and excavations in Paestum. We will then wind along Italy's most beautiful (Amalfi) Coast to Sorrento. From there we will visit Tiberias' palace on the Island of Capri, the Maritime city of Amalfi with the Church of St Andrew, and the remarkable excavations at Pompeii and the Bay of Naples.
In Rome we will concentrate on the Forum with the recently opened Palace of Nero, Coliseum, The Vatican and Vatican Museums, major basilicas and monuments. Many of our meals will not be in hotels, but in charming Italian restaurants and countryside villas so that we can enjoy the full flavor of Italy
